We, the undersigned, believe we should honor and remember the soldiers who fought in the Battle of Gettysburg. We value American history. We oppose the extension of Camp Letterman Drive by Straban Township, Pennsylvania, and the big box store and other development this would bring about. We oppose the destruction of a portion of the original Confederate battle lines and battlefield land, the radical destruction of part of the remaining Camp Letterman Hospital site and the encroachment on the Historic Daniel Lady Farm, a restored 1863 Civil War site. We respectfully petition to have the road and development project stopped, and that development occurs on non-historic land so American history is preserved for present and future generations.
