IMPORTANT EVENT UPDATE!

Gettysburg/Adams County, PA has been moved to the Yellow Phase by the Governor as of Friday, May 22, 2020.  This only allows groups of up to 25 people to gather.  After much discussion with local leaders and Government officials, it is doubtful we will be moved to the Green Phase before July.  As a result, the Board of the GBPA has decided to postpone the 2020 Battle of Gettysburg to a date later in the summer.  The event will remain a 2 day event, held on a weekend.

We delayed making this decision in hopes of a quicker resolution, but an event of this size cannot accommodate the rules and restrictions of the current time, even in an outdoor setting.   We continue to monitor the flow of events and an alternate date will be announced by June 10th.

Those who purchased Registrations or Tickets for the 2020 Battle of Gettysburg will be notified of the new date as quickly as possible.  At that time, if you cannot attend the event on the chosen date, you will be given the following options:

  1. A full refund of your purchase
  2. Use that Registration or Ticket for the 2021 Battle of Gettysburg Event.  If the price changes, your purchase will be honored as paid in full.
  1. You can make your purchase a donation to the Daniel Lady Farm upkeep

The GBPA greatly appreciates your understanding in this matter.  Questions should be addressed to info@gbpa.org.  Thank you.

Celebrate the 157th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg with Battle Reenactments, Artillery and Cavalry Demonstrations, Living History Programs, Tours of the Restored House & Barn, and more!  It will be staged on the hallowed ground of the GBPA’s 146 - acre Daniel Lady Farm located on Hanover Road with a large reenactment field bordering the Gettysburg National Military Park at Benner Hill. The farm was the site of artillery placements and infantry preparations for the Confederate attack on Culp’s Hill. The house and barn became a field hospital. Shell fragments and soldier’s carved initials remain in the barn and blood stained floors in the house.
