Wish List 2006 (updated 10/1/2006)For the Preservation of the Daniel Lady Farm in Gettysburg.... All donations are tax deductible - receipts for goods, services and monetary donations will be furnished. Items can be purchased by a piece (for example a pound of grass seed, one interior door restoration, one gallon of paint, one month of a utility bill, one custom built kitchen cabinet, etc.) You can donate an item or pay for the purchase of same. Items can be "shared" by more than one donor, for instance, you can "buy" one-quarter of a window restoration at $250; or part of a room restoration, paint one wall or restore one-quarter of a floor, or "buy" one re-pointed stone for $20 (we have thousands on the house alone.) The 9 rooms of the house, plus the upper and lower hallways and stairs will cost an average $12,000 each to restore. If you wish, you can "purchase" an entire room for restoration and the room will be named after you. You can purchase a wall, floor or the painting of a room. A "Wall of Honor" will be established in the downstairs hallway inside the front door to honor all of our donors. We are also looking for period furniture, rugs, accessories for the parlor, kitchens, sittng room and a bedroom. If you know someone who would like to h elp by donating furniture, equipment, etc, or help with our "Wish List", please pass this information on to them or let us know. Please let us know what you would like to purchase/donate, send your check along with your request to our PO Box.
